Odesláno pátek v 16:37 4 dny Hi there, sorry for writing in english but my czech isn't yet good enough...I had my internet with VF for a few years now (1G cable) and recently decided to implement proper sanitation on the network to block my son from accessing brainrot content on various websites; well turns out that android doesn't support DHCPv6 and bypasses my custom DHCP server for the IPv6 stack via SLAAC.Obviously it's not a direct fault of VF but i cannot push my custom DNS (pihole) to android devices as the Router Advertisement is non configurable on the VF station; since I don't care too much about old IPv4, I thought that it will be easy to simply create a new network with my own router, implications are double NAT for IPv4 and routed IPv6 via prefix-delegation form the VF station.Well found out that the old VF station doesn't allow DHCPv6 PD and shows this message instead:Server support for prefix delegation is not enabled. Sorry buddy.Aight so I'm pounding sand here, decided to call VF support and ask if it would be possible to order the new FritzBox modem/router and get rid of that crappy VF station,I will be getting a new unit next Tuesday! Now if anyone knows, is the DHCPv6 PD properly implemented in the new FritzBox? I know it works on the stock firmware, but you never know how much VF cripples it Ultra Fibre Super - Vodafone Station WiFi 5 Brno
Odesláno pátek v 21:11 4 dny Hi, Fritz!box is used in Germany few year, maybe on their forums you will find answer. But if you need or want detailed configuration, it is better (and mostly only) solution to switch router from Vodafone to bridge mode and plug own configuratable device. Beware, Fritz!box don't support bridge mode. Super Premium 5G 18+ Vodafone Station WiFi 6 Brüx

Odesláno sobota v 14:20 3 dny I am really curious if this will be one of the disabled features (=if this will be yet another crippled router from VF). Looking forward to the result of the test. - - - Compal, 3xCA modul Praha
Odesláno sobota v 16:23 3 dny No idea about PD, but it is yet another crippled router from VF - due to disabled bridge mode, unfortunately. I would love to upgrade, but this is a deal breaker for me. Premium - - - -
Odesláno sobota v 17:29 3 dny Autor There might be valid reasons on why bridge mode is not supported on VF routers (XLAT and RA parameters probably), nevertheless since I don't care about IPv4 too much I'm more than happy to throw my own router down the road, but currently VF routers don't allow this (disregarding IETF recommendations, partially implementing rfc3769), as they disable the only meaningful way of doing it by blocking IPv6 prefix delegation via DHCPv6 PD requests. With the old VF station you simply cannot put another router below it, without doing nasty crap like NAT66 (then WTH is the point of assigning a /56 to my VF station?) or NDPProxying (it hurt my brain just to think about it).Meanwhile VF please get your shit together with the IPv6 stuff, it's 2025... Odesláno neděle v 07:21 2 dny @quadra2030 Sorry if that was not clear—I meant that it is yet another crippled router from VF, as supplied by them. I don't know if it was crippled by VF or AVM, but that is a secondary question. The important thing is that it cannot perform this very basic functionality, which is a must for me. Premium - - - -
