Hello, I recently subscribe to VDSL via Vodafone. The technician installed internet and the CETIN box. All the lights are green on that box. I bought a TP-Link AX1800 dual band VDSL/ADSL Modem router. I’m having a hard time configuring it. Maybe I’m missing some credential when using PPPoE internet type.

Can you help me with this ?

Oh thanks I thought it was random. I’ve put the credential but I still can’t manage to connect. Am I doing something wrong ?

Yes. You have configured your WAN to be using VDSL. However your DSL socket om the router is not connected, as you are not using VDSL. The CETIN device is a VDSL-Ethernet bridge, and it must remain connected between the phone line and your router.

So you have to reconfigure your router to use Ethernet WAN+PPPoE. Do not forget to configure VLAN 848. https://www.tp-link.com/cz/support/faq/3584/

If this model does not support Ethernet WAN port with VLAN, you may need to replace it with a pure Ethernet router (without the DSL capabilities).

Which router model exactly do you have now?

Thanks a lot it fixed my issue ! I followed the tutorial and some parameters like the 802.1q don’t need to be entered on my router but it works. Thanks a lot again !
