I am looking at getting the 1GB VF optical internet at home. I was told that I need to get my own gigabit modem and router. I know nowadays you have these combined modem/router options. Some you can set to bridge and use only as a modem.

 

My question: Do I really need to get this modem Zyxel VMG8623 -T50B or Zyxel VMG8623 -T50A to be able to use the vodafone internet, or can I use any other model?

 

One of my options is to get Zyxel VMG8623 -T50B, set it in bridge mode and have this router in the house TP-Link Archer AX23 WiFi6 Router. 

 

You have any other idea? Care to help?

From my experience, in Bučovice, the network is operated by Quadruple, you will get a router, and as far as i know, you can use any common ethernet WAN router.

Just make sure that it has a  1Gb Wan input.

Thank you for your answer. i think I am getting ASUS TUF-AX5400. Just to make sure it is ok I asked Vodafone hotline to please have the technical department confirm that this router is good enough.
